- Dios grew up on the family farm in rural Flora, and enlisted in the Army Air Force during World War II, where he trained and worked as an airplane mechanic. Over the years he held jobs in the oilfields, as a school custodian, and at Clay Electric. He was a member of the Flora American Legion, and he and Louise had been longtime members of Flora First Christian Church.
