Funeral services will be in Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Newton.
Mr. Scammahorn was born in Ford County, son of John and Estella Scammahorn. He was a World War II Veteran. He married LaVenia Shope.
Surviving are his wife; brothers, John of Sailor Springs; Henry of Mount Vernon; sisters, Bertha Tyrus of Chicago; Esther Phillips of Olney.
Two brothers, one sister and one half brother preceded him in death.
