  A life long farmer in Lyons and Newberry with many friends and neighbors. Married 65 years to his Illinois sweethart, Virginia. A world traveler, he felt the most comfortable on rural Greene county roads in his white international scout. Loved and admired by his three children, seven grandchildren, and seven great, grandchildren, he always took time for them. A progressive farmer and a loving father, past Grandmaster of Newberry's Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree of the York Rite in Bloomington, Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and many farming organizations.
