  Obit: Edwin L. Brooks, age 87, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Edwin was born in Acton, IN, and came to Brevard County in 1962. He was a veteran of the Navy, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Shriner's. He was also a commercial fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Cecil; son, Michael; grandson, Ron; sister, Shirley; and brothers, Earl, Fred, Bobby, and Raymond. Edwin is survived by his wife, Bertha; daughter, Carol; sons, Edwin II (Dolesa), and Ronald; daughter-in-law, Linda; sisters, Jane, Patty, Susan, Majorie (Jim); and brother, Garry (Sandy); 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation at Florida Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00pm on August 17, 2017, and a funeral service at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
