  Norma Jean Ames of Louisville died at Flora Gardens. She was born in Dieterich, IL the daughter of Andrew Irl & Emelia Gerth Lewis. She married Bervillo Paul "Bud" Ames in April, 1958. He preceded her in death March 24, 1994. She was a laundress for J. C. Petty Co. in Effingham and a member of the VFW in Effingham. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy; four sons Irl, Stephen, Lawrence, & Gilbert; sisters, Lucille Barlow, Marilyn Koester, and Marie Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Richard, sister, Shirley Davis & brothers Albert & Donnie Lewis. Burial was in German Methodist Cemetery, Bible Grove with Neal Funeral Home in charge.
