- Mildred Geneva "Babe" (Walker) Moore, 85, of Olney died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Visitation will be fro noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Robert Shoaff, Pastor of Little Prairie Christian Church in Albion, officiating.
Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery in rural Richland County.
Babe was born on May 28, 1920, in Richland County, the daughter of Roy and Flossie (Hughes) Walker. She married George Enoch Moore on October 1, 1941, in St. Charles, Mo. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1963.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. she was a member of South Freedom Christian Church and worked as a clerk and factory worker until her retirement.
Babe is survived by two sons, George "Tom" Moore and his wife, Kay of West Salem and Ron Moore and his wife,Denise of Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, Fremont Walker and his wife, Judy of Olney; a twin sister, Genevieve Miller of Olney; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
