- Richard Joseph "Gunny" O'Reilly, 83, of Olney passed away at 3:30 PM, January 11, 2013 at his residence.
Richard Joseph O'Reilly was born May 20, 1929 in New Rochelle, NY to Joseph James/John and Agnes Mary Cecelia (Krieg) O'Reilly.
Richard was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps (Gunnery Sergeant E7). He was a life member of the American Legion, life member of the VFW, and life member of the Pioneers. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed woodworking and making doll cabinets for CJ's Doll Cottage. Richard also enjoyed working on the farm with father-in-law Gene Craig and playing euchre with his wife, Gene, and Elizabeth. He loved spending time with family and attending church.
Richard married Cheryl Jean Craig on February 9, 1991 in Westminster, CO.
Richard is survived by his wife, Cheryl Craig of Olney, daughter, Kathy O'Reilly and husband Matthew Philpott of Corvalis, OR, son, Kevin O'Reilly and wife Debbie of Greeley, CO, son, Michael O'Reilly of Mesa, AZ, daughter, Patti Leichliter and husband Mark of Jackson, WY, stepdaughter, Kristina Fluksa and husband George of Olney, sisters, Catherine Quirk, Mary McLoughlin, Geraldine Braatz, Rosemary Casey and Jean Lalli, grandchildren, Daniel Philpott, Christopher Philpott, Steven Philpott, Lindsey O'Reilly, Cody O'Reilly, Ryne O'Reilly, Rianon O'Reilly, Jennifer Leichliter, Abbey Leichliter, Sydney Leichliter, step-grandchildren, Eva Fluksa, Elizabeth Fluksa, several nieces and nephews,
