  Larry "Butch" Ashbaugh was born April 2, 1956, in Effingham, the son of William C. and Connie (Cooper) Ashbaugh. He married Debra Tracy on September 8, 1978, at First Christian Church in Noble. Surviving are his wife of 35 years; mother; sons, Jonathan Ashbaugh and special friend Lela Wilson, Daniel Ashbaugh, Joshua Ashbaugh and special friend Terri McCoy; daughter, Tammy Staley and special friend Chad Hall; siblings, Sharon Miller and husband Mike, William Ashbaugh, Debra Steele and husband Clark, James Ashbaugh and Pamela Bricker and husband Ivan; grandkids, Brenden Ashbaugh, Kiersten Ashbaugh, Kasy Ashbaugh, Bryce McWhorter and Bobby Staley and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Edwin Ashbaugh; maternal grandparents, Chester and Ethelyn Cooper; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Sadie Ashbaugh, and mother- and father-in-law, Kenneth and JoAnne Tracy.
