- Mildred J. Worrell, 85, of Flora, died at 10:17 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Bill Campbell officiating.Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Flora.
Mrs. Worrell was born on January 9, 1920, in Flora, the daughter of Charles L. and Tillie (Hyndman) McGrew. She married Harry R. Stanford on April 11, 1936, in Odin. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1955. She married George L. Worrell on June 4, 1972, in Olney. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1985.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Flora and was a member of A.A.R.P., Clay County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and Flora Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was past president at Flora Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Worrell is survived by three sons, Dick Stanford, Jerry Stanford and his wife, Evelyn, and Bill Stanford and his wife, Jane, all of Flora; a daughter, Sue Petit and her husband, Dave, of Flora; and nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and two brothers, Ed and Rick McGrew.
