  Nellie Leannah Ambers, 89, of Collinsville, Ill., born Nov. 12, 1922, in Noble, Ill., passed away Tuesday March 20, 2012, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville, Ill. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Collinsville High School for more than 19 years. She was a member of the Caseyville United Methodist Church, Laurel Circle, and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Ambers; her parents, James E. Diel and Grace E., nee Newlin, Diel; four brothers and one sister. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill. Published in Belleville News-Democrat on March 25, 2012
