DeKalb Madding died 17 Mar 1943 in his home in the east part of town of heart troube. Funeral services provided by King Funeral Home, Rev. R.J. Grabow officiating. Burial held at McKendree Cemetery near chapel. (The church was still there in the 1960's but has since been destroyed.)
DeKalb was the son of William and Susan (Hill) Madding. He was born and raised in Edwards Co., IL and pursued farming as a living.
He was married to Mary Barbara (Arnold) on 10 Jan 1893. To this union twelve children were born. They are namely: Edna, Carrie, Leonard, Henry, Jennifer, Bertha, James, Bessie, Rube, Leona, Ernest and Ralph.
