  Katherine M. THomas, 81 of Flora, died yesterday (Sunday December 11, 1988) at 9:40 a.m. at the Flora Care Center. She was born in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on November 17, 1907 the daughter of James Reno and Elizabeth Margaret (Tunison) Moore. She married Ralph E. Thomas, Sr. in 1931 at Blue island, and he died in 1982. Surviving are two sons, Ralph Edward Thomas, Jr of Dolton, Illinois and Richard Thomas of Harvey, Illinois and a half brother Owen Moore and a half sister Leah (Moore) Butcher, nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
