  Gerald Joseph Hemrich was born January 10, 1937, in rural Newton, son of Eugene and Theresa Suess Hemrich. He married Rosella Dhom May 9,1959, in Newton. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Rosella; children, Connie (Dennis) Griffith, Phyllis (Fred) Neu, Roger (Sherri) Hemrich; Bill (Amy) Hemrich, Randy (Linda) Hemrich, Brad Hemrich, Nick Hemrich, Nick (Sarah) Hemrich, Teresa (Bruce) Ochs and Tracy (Scott) Blackwell; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne (Don) Ginder; brother, Gene Hemrich; and sisters-in-law, Delores Hemrich and Matilda Hemrich.
