- Eva Walker, 77, of Olney, died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Memorial Garden.
Mrs. Walker was born January 2, 1936, in Kingman, Kan., the daughter of John Peter and Katie (Saner) Stuckey.
She married William "Bill" Walker on August 28, 1955, in Kingman, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2013.
Eva was a devoted mother who put her kids and grandchildren first. She enjoyed sewing pillows and blankets for her family. Eva also enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. She loved to vacation with her family.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Walker, of Manteno; son, Jeff Walker and wife Darlene, of Olney; daughter, Debra Anderson, of Vincennes, Ind.; daughter, Tammy Walden, of Olney; daughter, Michelle Guerrero and husband Jamie, of Raleigh, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Victor Stuckey, of Kingman, Kan.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Orville, Art and Leo, and sister, Iona.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
