- OUISVILLE Immel Lowell Stanfield, 93, of Louisville died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011, at his home.
Stanfield was born April 17, 1918, in Louisville, the son of Keller Manford and Josie (Immel) Stanfield. He married Starr Jennell Carter on Sept. 19, 1944, in Kentucky. She passed away on Aug. 22, 1999.
Immel was a carpenter and oil field worker. He enjoyed hunting and showing his dogs.
He is survived by brothers, Edward (Betty Ann) Stanfield of St. Louis and Robert (Sue) Stanfield of Louisville; and sisters, Bonnie (Rolla) Barbee of Louisville and Alice Willison of Effingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Riley Stanfield; sisters, Ruby Pierson, Anna Mae Daugherty and Della Rose Kidwell; and sister-in-law, Elia Enyart.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Red Brush Christian Church, rural Louisville. Burial will be in Toliver Cemetery, rural Louisville. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family of Immel Stanfield.
