Notes - Herman John Rudolphi 84, of Noble passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Burgin Manor in Olney, IL.
He was born on November 3, 1932 in Clay County, the son of John and Bertha (Weber) Rudolphi.
He married Joan M. Klingler on May 17, 1955 at Holy Cross Church in Wendelin, IL.
Herman worked as a farmer for many years. He worked on the farm to provide for his family. Herman enjoyed and worked many hours in his woodworking shop making many wood toys for all his children and grandchildren. He was a proud veteran of the US Army during the Korean War and was a proud member of the American Legion, VFW for 50 years, Eagles Lodge and Knights of Columbus. He was a faithful member of the Holy Cross Church in Wendelin, IL Herman was a loving father and loved being a grandfather and a great-grandfather and spending time with his family. Herman and Joan enjoyed many trips vacationing in Branson MO.
Herman is survived by his wife, Joan Rudolphi of Noble, and his 11 children, Ed of Plainfield, IN, Bob (Theresa) of Newton, Don (Deb) of Newton, Theresa (Jack) Layley of Maryland Heights, MO, Jeff "Herf" of Olney, David (Tammy) of Newton, Tim "Butch" (Lori) of Elberfeld, IN, Pam (Kevin) Ochs of Olney, Scott "Fred" & Michele Walker of Dundas, Brenda (Patrick) Slover of Olney, Todd (Sherrie) of Newton, also 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, John & Bertha, a son Keith, a great-grandson Reed, and a step-grandson Nicholas.
