- John Harlon Andrews, 77, of Decatur and a native of Olney, died Friday night at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.
Funeral services were held this afternoon in Decatur, IL. with burial in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
Mr. Andrews was born in Olney, a son of George and LaVina McGee Andrews. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War I. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Castle Williams Post 105 of the American Legion. He married Opal Elder in Sullivan on January 20, 1923.
Surviving are his wife; son, William E. of Farmington, Mich.; brother, Wesley of Calhoun; sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Josephine) Farris and Mrs. Ronald (Thelma) Wright, both of Olney; Mrs. Martha Turpin of Flora; Bertha Andrews of West Salem; and two granddaughters.
