- Mr. Jeff Stanfield, 46, of Louisville, IL, died at 7:46 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2013, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Jeff was born November 29, 1966, in Effingham, Illinois. His parents are Richard and Karen (Bailey) Stanfield of Louisville. He attended school in Louisville and graduated from North Clay High School in 1985. On November 18, 1989, he married Angie McGrew in Louisville, IL.
Jeff worked as a General Contractor with his father at Stanfield Construction for many years. He was most recently employed at Hamilton County Construction. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisville where he served as a Deacon, helped lead the youth program, drove the bus, as well as assisted with various other church activities. Jeff's faith and commitment to God and his church were one of his greatest strengths.
His hobbies were motocross, being outdoors, tending to his garden and spending time with his wonderful daughters and wife. Most of all, Jeff loved his family.
Jeff is survived by his parents Richard and Karen Stanfield, his wife Angie, three daughters, Shayla Stanfield, Kortney and Mikayla Stanfield, and a foreign exchange daughter Anne Magnusson, two sisters, Michele Lovett, and Lisa Fender, eight nieces and one nephew.
Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Riley and Joyce Stanfield and maternal grandparents Ervin and Marjorie Bailey.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Louisville, IL.
The family deeply urges that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to a Scholarship Fund for Jeff's daughters.
