  James A. "Jake" Clark, 55, lifelong resident of the Calhoun community, was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday afternoon at Richland Memorial Hospital. Mr. Clark was born the son of Emet Clark and Maude Ward Clark. He was married to Imogene Lagle on November of 1936. He was a veteran employee of the Olney Branch of the International Shoe Company. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Price of Calhoun and Mrs. Dottie Fawkes of Claremont. There are five grandchildren Jimmie, Jerry, Donita, Jamie and Donald. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Maude Clark of Olney, and three sisters: Miss Winnie Clark and Mrs. Helen Provines, both of Olney, and Mrs. Clarice Board of Orlando, Fla. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with the Rev. Lowell McDowell officiating.Interment will be in the Calhoun Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
