- Sidney E. Clodfelter 83, of West Salem, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Services at Moravian Church in West Salem with Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clodfelter was born on July 16, 1922 in Edwards County, the son of Raymond Henry and Edna Voigt Clodfelter. He married Norma B. Ahlfield on August 15, 1947. She survives.
He was a member of Moravian Church in West Salem and American Legion and served in the Army during World War II. He was a farmer for many years.
Mr. Clodfelter is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons, Ivan Clodfelter and his wife, Kathleen of Parkersburg and Ernie Clodfelter and his wife, Crystal of Calhoun; three daughters, Kathryn Thacker and her husband, Dennis of Sumner, Nancy Hutchings and her husband, Jerry of Parkersburg and Carol VanMatre and her husband, William of West Salem; two brothers, Glenn and Charles Clodfelter both of West Salem; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eldon, Lyle and Bob; one sister, Janet Yonaka; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Kathleen.
