- Ruth Irene Crane, 92, of Olney, died at 11:03 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Burgin Manor in Olney.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Reverend Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Claremont.
Mrs. Crane was born November 19, 1917, in Richland County, the daughter of Albert Henry and Ethel Arvilla (Shipley) Ledeker. She married Joseph Maurice Crane on June 11, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1997.
She had worked at International Shoe Factory, Norge Factory and a timekeeper at AMF. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney and Richland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Crane is survived by her sister-in-law, Velma Hussman, of Iowa; sister-in-law, Kathryn Eckstein, of Battle Creek, Mich.; sister-in-law, Ella Mae Ledeker, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Henry and Ethel Arvilla Ledeker; husband, Joseph Maurice Crane; four brothers, Ray Ledeker, Byrl Ledeker, Ivan Ledeker and Lloyd Ledeker; and sisters, Opal Craig and Agnes Bratton and infant sister, Rosa Mae Ledeker.
