- Lorraine Vincent Dallmier, 86, of Willow Hill, died at 5:20 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at his son's home in rural Noble.
Lorraine was born May 6, 1925, in Jasper County, the son of Edwin and Julia (Kerner) Dallmier. He married Lucille Volk on April 9, 1947, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin. She survives.
He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #1704, Jasper County Farm Bureau and Willow Hill Community Club.
Lorraine is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucille Dallmier; 11 children, Vincent Dallmier, Rose Mary Miller, Theresa Zwilling, David Dallmier, Jerry Dallmier, Robert Dallmier, Thomas Dallmier, Rebecca Shamhart, Brenda Zuber, James Dallmier, and Elizabeth Ginder; brothers and sisters, Madonna Schneider, Maritta Glatz, George Dallmier, Richard Dallmier, and Donald Dallmier, of Arcola; 43 grandchildren; and 57 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Julia Dallmier; three grandchildren, Joyce Miller, Michael Dallmier and Janel Ginder; great-grandson, Corbin Dallmier; and a brother, Eugene Dallmier.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Al Kemme celebrating mass.
Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie.
Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton was in charge of arrangements.
