  DOROTHY MASSIE, of Mt. Erie, IL passed away 7:35AM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Fairfield, IL. Dorothy was born August 11, 1919 at Golden Gate, IL to William and Stella (Billingsley) McDowell. She married F. Lyveere Massie on May 6, 1939 at Cisne, IL. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2001. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Mt. Erie Church of the Nazarene. Dorothy is survived by two sons – Stephen Lyveere Massie (& his wife Christine) of Grayville, IL; Kevin Lee Massie of Fairfield, IL; and one sister Naomi Bunting, West Branch, MI. Also surviving are five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were one sister Lillian Borah, her husband and her parents. Funeral services for Dorothy Massie will be 2:00PM Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at the Mt. Erie Nazarene Church. Burial will be at West Cemetery near Mt. Erie, IL. Friends may call 12:30PM on Monday to time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Erie Church of the Nazarene and will be accepted at the funeral home.
