  His parents were Absalom Holler x Nancy Tippins. (This info is from his marriage record to his second wife Permelia). They (his parents) lived in the Washington & Lawrence Counties of Indiana. His first wife was Minerva Jane Bilyeu. She was born around 1835 and died 10 Oct. 1895, Mitchell, Lawrence County Indiana. They had 3 sons that I have found, Jerry, Willis, and William. From the census records for John, he was born around 1840-1842 in Indiana. He lived in Indiana (Washington & Lawrence Counties) until about 1905, when he moved to Louisville Clay Co. Illinois area. His son William also moved to Clay Co. He married his second wife Permelia Jane Weatherman June 10, 1908 in Clay Co. IL. He is in the 1910 census in Clay Co. IL. Permelia married an Andrew Rodgers in 1917, in Clay Co. IL. I found a record of his Civil War Pension Index card, stating he died Sept. 10, 1913 in Mitchell, Lawrence Co. IN. Not sure why he would have been back in that area, but it is possible. I did contact the Lawrence Co Vital Records, but they could find no record of his Death Certificate. Neither can Clay County IL. I ordered his Civil War Pension File, and it confirms his death date. Plus, the rest of the info stated here. I also found the application that was sent for his military headstone to be placed in the Orchard Hill Cemetery.
