- Amos was married to Sarah Ann Miller on Sept 3, 1835 in Indiana.
Their oldest daughter was Elizabeth Ann Hostetler who married Elijah Wilcoxon.
Other daughters were: Julia Ann who married Albert Blackburn, Rebecca who married Thomas Miller,Delilah who married Jackson Mulligan in Missouri, Mary who married Fred Valentine,and Barbara who married a Shepard and Lafaette Phipps.
Sons were Adam Hostetler who married Louisa Blackburn and moved to Missouri,and James who was in Mo by 1880.
Amos was with the 143rd Reg. Sadly he only lived ten days after his return from his service in the Civil War.
