  Josephine C. Spitzer, age 95 of Ste. Marie, IL passed away at 10:35 AM – Friday, August 05, 2011 at Lakeland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL. Josephine was born on February 25, 1916 in Jasper County, IL the daughter of Ambrose and Minnie (Huber) Spitzer She moved to Chicago and retired from AT&T in manufacturing after many years of service. After living in Chicago for 64 years, she returned to Ste. Marie. Josephine was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Josephine is survived by nephews, Paul (Marcia) Rexroat of Effingham, IL; Richard (Claudia) Wilkey of Des Moines, IA; niece, Millie (Ed deceased) Murphy of Schaumburg, IL; and grand nieces and nephews.
