- LOUISVILLE Robert Lee Willis, 79, of Louisville died at 5:08 a.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Clay County Hospital, Flora.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, with Brother Dusty Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery with American Legion military rites. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Louisville American Legion Veterans Memorial
Mr. Willis was born Dec. 15, 1930, at Mendota, the son of William Vaughn and Ozo Blanche (Montgomery) Willis. He married Betty A. O'Dell Oct. 18, 1952, at Xenia, and she survives.
He retired from the Army after serving 20 years, including service in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also retired from World Color Press, Effingham, and worked as a licensed practical nurse at Clay County Hospital, Flora.
Mr. Willis was a member of Louisville American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Willis of Louisville; son, Michael (wife, Sandra) Willis of Louisville; daughters, Mary A. (husband, Richard) Casolari-Vaughn of Flora and Belinda K. (husband, Loren) Kuhring of Dieterich; brother, Glen (wife, Dorothy) Willis of Salem; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James and William Willis.
