- Justin K. Fergy Ferguson, 32, of Olney, IL, formerly of Oblong, IL, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014. His death is being investigated by the Richland County Coroners Department.
Justin was born on April 25, 1982 in Robinson, IL and was the son of Larry Dean Ferguson and Jane Thompson Ferguson Goss. On March 31, 2012 he married Heather Dawn McClure and she survives.
Justin was employed as a farm hand at Keller Grain and Livestock, Willow Hill, IL.; he was baptized at First Christian Church of Oblong, IL; a graduate with the OHS Class of 2000 where he was active in the Oblong FFA while in school; an avid toy tractor collector, dragging his family to toy tractor museums and toy tractor auctions; and he loved to take his daughter, Brooklyn, 4-wheeling. Justin just loved being outside, farming, and tinkering with anything.
Justin is survived by his wife, Heather; his daughter Brooklyn Sue, who is still at home; his parents: his mother Jane and step-father Terry Goss, and his father Larry Ferguson; one brother, Dylan Goss; one sister and brother-in-law Lindsay Nikki and Joshua Madlem; step-brother and step sister-in-law Jeremiah and Tina Goss; step-sister and step-brother-in-law Terri Lynn (Goss) and Brent Parker; grandparents Jim and Mary Alice Ferguson; grandmother Donna Ferguson; mother-in-law Becky McClure; eight niece and nephews; several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceding Justin in death were his grandfather Leroy Ferguson; step-grandparents Joe and Madeline Goss; great-grandfather Bill Thompson, who got Justin stared with tractors.
