- Hazel Lucille (Brown) Hawn, 99, of Louisville died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at her home.
Hazel was born Nov. 21, 1911, in McLeansboro, the daughter of William V. and Maude M. (Helms) Brown. She married James E. Hawn in 1931 in Terre Haute, Ind. He preceded her in death.
Hazel was a health care provider and a member of Red Brush Christian Church, Louisville, and Eastern Star, Effingham.
Survivors include her son, Harold (wife, Dana) Hawn of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James Hollis Hawn; daughter, Norma Cosner; brother, Everett Brown; a sister; twin siblings in infancy; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, with Dusty Elmore and Bruce Horsley officiating.
Burial was in Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville.
