Terry L. Kelley, 58, of Jewett, IL, died 5:30 p.m. Saturday (March 29, 2014) in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Services celebrating Terry's life will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewett Community Church with the Rev. Kenny Cripe and Pastor Irvin Figgins officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Military rites will be conducted by the Cumberland County Veteran's Association. Memorials may be made to the family. Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net.
Terry was born January 29, 1956 in Flora, IL, the son of Grover and Dorine Bricker Pearcy.
He had worked at Trailmobile in Charleston and Pyroferric International in Toledo and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Terry was a member of the Greenup American Legion Post #566 and the Chance's R Pool Team. Terry loved playing pool, going fishing, hunting mushrooms and working in his garden. His greatest passion was his family and friends, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Terry was a diehard Cubs and Bears fan.
Terry married Jill Renae Smith in July of 1994 in Charleston, IL and she survives in Jewett.
Other survivors include his children, Tonya Oakley (Shane) of Toledo, Heather Radwan of Canton, IL, Heidi Daniels (Chris) of Arkansas, Stephanie Chapman of Greenup and Terri Lynn Kelley of Toledo; grandchildren, Brittani, Shaina and Jazzmine Oakley, Alex and Landon Cummins, Drew Radwan, Bianca Miller, Harley Pierce and Kennedy Daniels; brother, Austin Kelley (JoEllen) of Zion, IL; sisters-in-law, Denise Stearns (Brian) of Marion, IL, Terri Reed (David) of Sullivan, Carolyn Smith of Arcola; father-in-law, Dick Smith (Sally) of Mattoon; mother-in-law, Marybelle Fulton of Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Kevin Smith, and a brother, Ralph Pearcy.
