  	Jasper Gray, 52, of Clay City, died at the Olney sanitarium July 19 of an attack of acute appendicitis. He was spending the week-end with his family near Noble when stricken, and was rushed to the sanitarium. He died before surgery could be preformed, however.

  Jasper Gray, 52, of Clay City, died at the Olney sanitarium July 19 of an attack of acute appendicitis. He was spending the week-end with his family near Noble when stricken, and was rushed to the sanitarium. He died before surgery could be preformed, however. Funeral services were held July 21 at the Easley-Padgett chapel at Clay City, the Rev. Fred Gordon officiating. Burial was in Clay City cemetery. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Stout of Olney and Miss Leona Gray of Clay City; three sons, Carl of Clay City and Lynn and Billy Joe, both at home; two brothers, Henry and Glason; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Galloway of Olney, Mrs. Hester Fitzgerald of Vincennes, IN; Mrs. Jeanette Asher of Florida and Mrs. Lydia Graham of Clay City; his father William; and two grandchildren.
