    • Charles E. Mitchell, 83, of Noble, IL died Dec. 30, 2004 at his home.

      He was born April 7, 1921, in Noble, the son of Thomas Edmund and Ola Fulk Mitchell. He married Shirley Callahan September 14, 1946 in Olney.

      He was retired from Illinois Bank Builders in Chicago as a construction supervisor, and was a member of Olney American Legion and Carpenters Union 634.

      Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rodney, Mike, and David Mitchell; three daughters, Beverly Souder, Dand Hout, and Barbara Tomlinson; a brother, Thomas E. Mitchell; five sisters, Lois Hagen, Maxine Fryburger, Kay Miller, Kathlene Hagen, and Ruth Elaine O'Brien; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

      Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Lawrence Mitchell, and a sister Beulah Brown.

      Funeral services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with burial in Hanna Cemetery in Noble.
