Served aboard, in turn, the Dixie-Class Destroyer Tender USS Prairie AD-15, the Hamul-Class Destroyer Tender USS Frontier AD-25, and the Haven-Class Hospital Ship USS Haven AH-12. Honorably discharged as a Seaman Second Class on October 10, 1947 at Naval Receiving Station, Terminal Island, San Pedro, California. Earned the WWII Victory Medal for service during the period of eligibility.
