    Carl M. Fulk, 85, of Noble, died at 4:15 PM, on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family.

    Graveside services at Hanna Cemetery in Noble with Reverend Bob Totten officiating.

    Mr. Fulk was born on April 1st, 1928 in Richland County, the son of Levi and Zaida (McDowell) Fulk. He married Erma (Jackson) Fulk on January 24th, 1946 and she survives.

    He farmed, worked construction and then later retired. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, his pets and chewing his Timber Wolf Chewing Tobacco.

    Survived by his wife of 67 years Erma (Jackson) Fulk of Noble; children Carl Richard Fulk, Roy Fulk and wife Dena, Ronnie Fulk and wife Brenda, Jeffrey Fulk, Janice Harmon and husband Jim, Lori Kater and husband Bill. Grandchildren, Kimberly Morris and husband Bob, Cory Fulk and wife Amy, Casey Fulk and wife Sara, Crystal Fulk, Ronnie Fulk, Ashley Collins, Dustin Turner, Kyle Turner, Cody Turner, Brittany Harmon, John Kater and Heather Anderson, and husband Jacob and 12 great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

    Graveside services at Hanna Cemetery in Noble with Reverend Bob Totten officiating.

    Carl married Jackson, Erma Verle on 24 Jan 1946 in Noble, Richland County, Illinois.     Notes:

    He was drafted into the Army on June 19th, 1969. He completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He arrived in Vietnam on November 15, 1969 and served 11 months and 15 days in combat. He was assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion of the 25th Infantry Division's 14th Infantry.

    While in Vietnam, he earned the Bronze Star with Valor on February 10th, 1970 for Heroism in Ground Combat. He earned his First Oak Leaf Cluster for Heroism on May 10th, 1970. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal on May 26th, 1970 for Meritorious Achievement in The Republic of Vietnam. He received his Honorable Discharge on June 1st, 1975 with the ending rank of SP4, and returned to the Richland County area.

    Military Service:

    Carl Richard Fulk, age 71, of Noble passed away peacefully in his home with sister Lori by his side on May 17, 2018.

    Grave side services will be held at Hanna Cemetery in Noble at 2 PM on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. Bob Totten will be officiating. Full Military Rites will be provided by the Richland County Veteran’s Organization.

    Roy M. Fulk, 65, of Noble, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by family.
    Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 21 at Hanna Cemetery in Noble, with Reverend Bob Totton officiating and full military honors performed at graveside by Richland County veterans organizations. Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Fulk was born March 21, 1949, in Richland County, the son of Carl and Erma (Jackson) Fulk. He married Dena Herdes on February 17, 1968. She survives.
    Sgt. Fulk served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1974 during the Vietnam Era Conflict and won the National Defense Service Medal as well as being classified as a sharpshooter and an expert with both the M14 and M16 rifles. He worked in the oilfield for many years before going to Modesitt Trucking, which is now Peavler's Trucking of Olney. He enjoyed talking on CBs when driving a semi. He also enjoyed in his spare time tinkering with old cars, especially the Model A, and spending time with family and his grandboys.
    Mr. Fulk is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dena (Herdes) Fulk of Noble; children, Kimberly (Bob) Morris, Cory (Amy) Fulk and Casey (Sara)Fulk; four grandboys and one step-grandson, Adam Harmon, Tanner Fulk, Cody Fulk, Dylan Fulk, all of Noble, and step-grandson, Jessie Morris; mother, Erma Fulk; mother-in-law, Eva Herdes Klingler; three brothers; two sisters; and many aunts and uncles.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Fulk; father-in-law, C. J. Herdes; and son-in-law, Mike Harmon

    Military Service:
    Sgt. Fulk served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1974 during the Vietnam Era Conflict and won the National Defense Service Medal as well as being classified as a sharpshooter and an expert with both the M14 and M16 rifles.

    Died:
