Departed the Continental U.S. on May 26, 1943 bound for the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Of Operations. Assigned to and served with the 397th Air Base Squadron and participated in the Aleutian Islands Campaign. Earned the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with bronze battle star and the WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Private First Class on December 10, 1945 at the Separation Center, Fort MacArthur, California.
