    Notes:

Carole was a native of Sailor Springs, born and raised. Both her parents' families have had roots in Clay County since the 1800s, and Carole's father (and his father before him) established his medical practice in Sailor Springs. What changes this doctor's daughter has seen in her home town!

Carole attended teacher's college and taught for a period at Clay City High School. She cared for her mother at her end of life and developed a bond that was precious to them both. Her family and friends are comforted that they are together again. Her quick wit and ready laugh will be missed.
