    Alice Watson Of Cisne, 91, Dies At Flora Healthcare

    Mrs. Alice Watson, 91, of Cisne died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002 at 3:10 a.m. at the Flora Healthcare in Flora.

    She and her late husband were part owners of Watson Restaurant. She also was a cook at the school.

    Services In Cisne

    Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Johnsonville Cemetery in Johnsonville.

    Mrs. Watson was born March 28, 1911, in Cisne, the daughter of Harry C. and Nellie Block Stine. She married Cloyd Watson Sept. 29, 1928 in Wayne County. He preceded her in death.

    She was a member of Rock Branch General Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.

    Survivors include a daughter B. . . ; a son . . . ; two sisters, . . . ; one brother, . . . ; a daughter-in-law B. . . ; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, four brothers and two sisters.

    Bernetta was a member of Clay City Christian Church. She had a love for her church, having been a choir member, helping with funeral meals, and assisting in church activities. Bernetta took pleasure in being outdoors, working in her garden, crrocheting, attending stained glass classes, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She and her husband Wayne enjoyed camping and traveling. They would often attend local stock car races together. She was a member of the Rebecca's Lodge for many years, the Clay City Garden Club, and the Goodtime Red Hat Breakfast Group. She was a cook for the Clay City Unit Ten schools. Bernetta loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed the holidays.

    Bernetta married Patridge, Carl Wayne Sr. on 21 Jun 1947. Carl (son of Patridge, Pearl H. and Cash, Lois Virginia) was born on 31 Dec 1929 in Clay County, Illinois; died on 2 Sep 2008 in Clay County Hospital, Flora, Clay County, Illinois; was buried on 5 Sep 2008 in Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, Clay County, Illinois.     Notes:

    Mark enjoyed bowling, watching wrestling, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears. He took pleasure in spending time with his family and friends. Mark liked old Ford cars and going to car shows. He enjoyed 70's and 80's rock music.

    Cremation Rites were accorded. A graveside service at Clay City Cemetery will be held at a later date.
