Notes: He had been an active member of the First United Church of Christ, a member of Olney Lodge No. 926 BPO Elks. Mr. Balmer operated the former Star Grocery Store in Olney for more than 40 years, until 1948, he then worked for the J. C. Penney Co. for ten years until his retirement in 1958. Harry married Stine, Trella Grace on 29 Dec 1931 in Olney, Richland County, Illinois. Trella (daughter of Stine, George William and Decker, Virginia Lee 'Jennie') was born on 25 Dec 1897 in Illinois; died on 18 Nov 1977 in Olney, Richland County, Illinois; was buried in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney, Richland County, Illinois. Notes: Chris graduated from Olney HS in 1952 and began working with Illini Builders. He served in the US Army from 1954-1956 in Germany during the Cold War. Upon returning home he was again employed with Illini Builders and retired in 1994 after more than 40 years of employment with Illini Builders. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the First Church of Olney. His personal passion was fishing. George married Haerr, M.M.
