    Gale "Gabby" Hubble -70 - died Thursday, May 14, 1998 at a local nursing home.

    The body was cremated. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Timms officiating.

    Mr. Hubble was born in Wayne County Illinois to William Sherman Hubble and Ellen S. (Moseley) Hubble. He married Norma Jean Stanley in 1946 in Clay City, Illinois. He moved to Clyde, Texas in 1969 from Abilene. He worked as a truck driver for Hack Drilling for 22 years and Bandera Trucking for several years until retiring. He was a Baptist.

    Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Hubble, of Clyde, Texas; one son, William Hubble of Chesapeake, Virginia; two daughters, Candance Faye Howard of New Braunfels, Texas and Debroah Kaye Huston of Naples, Florida; two brothers, Burton Hubble of Olney, Illinois, and Leon Hubble of Bettendorf, Iowa; one sister, Leila Mae Runyon of Noble, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

    Military Service:
    Entered active service as a draftee on March 21, 1946 at Chicago, Illinois. Selected for the Chemical Warfare Service, completed basic training and qualified in the military occupational specialty of Light Truck Driver (3345). Assigned to and served stateside with the 119th Chemical Warfare Service Company. Earned the American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Private on June 13, 1947 at the Valley Forge General Hospital, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
