Alfred Galen (always known as Galen) Warren married Ruby Lee on 25 Mar 1947 in a double ceremony with his brother Robert Calvin Warren and Doris Jean Xanders.
Galen had 4 boys and served as a Baptist Minister in Southern Illinois. He came from a family of 9 children who survived to adulthood. 5 boys and 4 girls. Parents were William Curtis Warren and Anna Emelia Forfang. He was the first of his siblings to pass away.
Military Service:
Entered active service on January 12, 1944. Completed boot camp at Naval Training Station, Farragut, Idaho. Assigned to and served, in turn, with Torpedo Squadron 28 and Carrier Service Unit 6 in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Honorably discharged as a Aviation Radioman Third Class on June 2, 1946 at the Naval Personnel Separation Center, Camp Shoemaker, California. Earned the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
