Served aboard the hospital ship USS Consolation AH-15 as a Pharmacist's Mate. Honorably discharged as a Pharmacist's Mate Third Class on December 28, 1945 at the Naval Personnel Separation Center, Saint Louis, Missouri. Earned the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.
