    He is survived by a step-son, Bert Alvord, Dundas; step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Renner, Olney; two brothers, Jack Wilson, Springfield and Richard Wilson, Highland; five sisters, Martha Wilson, Springfield, Margaret Ross, Clay City, Maxine Larimore, Baton Rouge, La., Mary Young, Abilene, Tx., and Mildred Finn, Newton; 11 step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by three brothers.

    Margaret was a homemaker, a member of the Clay City First Baptist Church, and she was an avid Cubs fan, and Illinois fan, and she loved her dogs.

    She is survived by her daughter: Judy Gibbs & husband Ronnie of Clay City; 4 grandchildren: Vonda (Charlie) Amburgy of Marshall, Charles (Krysty) Walden of Flora, John (Erica) of Flora, Lora (Ray) Phillips of Flora; 1 brother: Jack Wilson of Springfield; 1 sister: Mildred Finn of Newton.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers (Charles, Ralph, Robert, Eldon & Richard Ross), 3 sisters (Mary Young, Martha Wilson).

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday (Dec 29, 2009) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Harris officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday.

Honorably discharged with a certificate of disability as a Private on August 27, 1943 at Borden General Hospital, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Earned the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 bronze battle star and the WWII Victory Medal.

    Mildred was born on July 26, 1921, in Clay City, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Bernice (Tolliver) Wilson.

    Mildred worked at United Technologies in Newton for over 15 years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Newton.

    Mildred enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and doing word search puzzles.

    Brother – Jack Wilson of Springfield, Illinois

    Jack Wilson, 96, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Heritage Health.

    He was born April 12, 1924, to Franklin and Bernice (Toliver) Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sisters.

    Jack was a US Air Force veteran serving in WWII and the Korean War. He retired from the Illinois Department of Public Health and was a booster for the University of Illinois. Jack was a Shriner, member of the VFW and American Legion and former member of the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County. He was a former resident of Mill Creek.

    He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at noon on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

    Burial:
    A memorial stone is also erected in tbe Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, Clay County, Illinois

    Military Service:
    Entered active service as a draftee on March 4, 1943 at Camp Grant, Illinois. Selected for duty with the Army Air Forces, completed basic training, attended Surgical Technician and Advanced Medical Service Schools, and qualified in the militarary occupational specialty of Surgical Technician (MOS 861). Served stateside with Squadron M, 224th Army Air Forces Base Unit, (Combat Crew Training Station - Heavy), Sioux City Army Air Base, Iowa. Honorably discharged as a Sergeant on February 9, 1946 at the Separation Center, Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Earned the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal.

    Maxine Wilson Larimore, a retired registered nurse and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at 12:22 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 80 and a native of Clay City, Ill.

Larimore, and Richard B. Larimore; two sisters, Mildred Finn of Newton, Ill., and Margaret Ross of Clay City; a brother, Jack Clay Wilson of Springfield, Ill.; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

    Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Philip B. Larimore.

    She was a member of Bengal Belles and was a fan of LSU Lady Tigers basketball and gymnastics.

    Richard D. "Dick" Wilson, 76, of Highland died March 9, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL.

    He was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Clay City, the son of Frank and Bernice Tolliver Wilson. He married Nila J. Cox on Nov. 7, 1954 in Flora. She preceded him in death on Feb. 29, 1996.

    He had worked in the oil fields, served with the U. S. Navy on the USS Pivot as a sweeper and the USS Helena during World War II in the Pacific.

    In the early 1950's he worked at E. J. Transport in E. St. Louis and lived in Washington Park. He then drove over-the-road for Cerro Cooper in Sauget, retiring in 1985.

    He loved college basketball, especially the Fighting Illini, country music, reading, and traveling to Owensboro and Paducah, Ky, to watch country-western shows.

    Survivors include a son, Alan K. Wilson, one daughter, Karin A. Scott; three sisters, Margaret Ross, Maxine Larimore, and Mildred Finn; a brother, Jack Wilson; and three granddaughters.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, four brothers, Charles, Robert, Eldon, Ralph, and two sisters, Martha Wilson and Mary Young.

    Graveside services were held at Clay City Cemetery with burial there.

    Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern IL, or Humane Society.

    Military Service:
    He served with the U.S. Navy on the USS Pivot as a sweeper and the USS Helena in the Pacific.
