    Doris Junkins, 86, of Noble, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Burgin Manor in Olney.

    Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Rennels officiating.

    Burial will be in Noble Cemetery.

    Mrs. Junkins was born on March 13, 1918, in Clay County, the daughter of Charles O. and Pearl (Luke) Fryman. She married Robert L. Junkins in January 1939. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1981.

    She was a homemaker.

    Mrs. Junkins is survived by three daughters, Myrna Tomblinson and her husband, Joe, of West Salem, Roberta Long and her husband, Buddy, of Batesville, Ark., and Barbara Thomann and her husband, Duane, of Noble; her special friend, Wayne Ater; two sisters, Dorothy Westbrook, of Batesville, Ark., and sister, Charlene Fulk, of Noble; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Jim Junkins, two brothers, Burt and Frank Fryman, a sister, Mildred, and one grandson.

    Myrna K. Tomblinson, age 73 of rural West Salem, Illinois passed into Eternity on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family.

    Myrna was born on September 3, 1939 in Noble, Illinois to Doris (Fryman) and Robert Lloyd Junkins.

    She married Joe Tomblinson on October 5, 1957 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Myrna enjoyed her nursing career, working for several years at the Olney Care Center. She was a member of the Albion House of Prayer and also attended the Long Prairie Primitive Baptist Church.

    Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Junkins and daughter-in-law, Barbara "Bobbie" Tomblinson.

    She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Joe Tomblinson; her two sons Danny Tomblinson, and Dave (Vicki) Tomblinson, all of West Salem; two sisters, Roberta Long of Bethesda, Arkansas and Barbara (Dwayne) Thomann of Noble, Illinois; three grandchildren, Robert (Cora) Tomblinson, Lauren Tomblinson and Shauna Tomblinson, and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Tomblinson and Emily Tomblinson.

    Roberta Sue (Junkins) Long, 78, passed away on January 27, 2021. She was born on October 26, 1942, in Noble, Illinois, to Robert L. Junkins and Doris (Fryman) Junkins.

    Roberta was an active member of the Bethesda Campground United Methodist Church and the Independence County Extension Homemakers for many years. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Junkins and Doris (Fryman) Junkins; brother, James Franklin Junkins; sister, Myrna Kay (Junkins) Tomblinson and her husband Joe; and husband, Buddy Carl Long. She is survived by her sons, Carlin Wade Long of Batesville, AR and Jason Lane Long of Batesville, AR; daughter, Holly Sue Long of Topeka, Kansas; sister, Barbara Louise (Junkins) Thomann (Duane) of Noble, Illinois; granddaughters, Cara Childress (Adrain) of Batesville, AR, Cindy Long of Batesville, AR, and Tara Pryor (Mike) of Bloomington, Illinois; and seven great-grandchildren.
