    Doris enjoyed reading the bible and had recorded herself reading the entire bible. She took pleasure in crocheting and making ceramics. She often gifted her creations to her friends and family. Doris was known for her smile and her laugh. She laughed easily and often. Doris especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Noble.

    Notes:

    Havard A. Dasch, 93, of Olney, formerly of Noble, passed away on October 25, 2017 at Burgin Manor in Olney. He was born on September 14, 1924 in Clay County, IL.

    Havard worked in Evansville, IN for a short time before being drafted into the US Army during WWII. He served in France and Germany and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After returning home he worked for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis. Havard was a pastor for over 50 years for the Olney Baptist Association. Havard briefly pastored and lived in Arizona, but he fell in love with the area. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and new cars.

    Havard is survived by his brother, Austin Dasch and wife Bernadine of Noble; Nieces and nephews, Charlotte Bickers, Sandra Harvel, Cindy Foerster, Loretta Sheppard, Steve Dasch, and Bruce Dasch; and several great nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Doris Galloway and infant sister.

    Memorials can be made to Baptist Children’s Home in Carmi.

    Full Military Rites will be performed at the graveside.

    Austin D. Dasch, 87, of Noble, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Austin was born on March 24, 1931 in Clay County, IL, the son of Elmer and Emma (Negley) Dasch. He married Bernadine (Scherer) on April 20, 1956 and she survives.

    Austin was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and served as a Sunday School teacher. He was also a 4-H Leader and was involved with the 4-H auction for many years. He served on the Noble School Board and Richland Co. SWCS. Austin enjoyed antique tractors and spending time with family and friends. While he will be missed by many, he is with the Lord now.

    Austin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bernadine Dasch of Noble; Son, Steve Dasch and wife Ellen of Noble; Son, Bruce Dasch and wife Brenda of Noble; Grandchildren, Kyle (Samantha) Dasch, Ryan (Lauren) Dasch, Matthew Dasch, Brittany (Scott) Snyder, Brannon (Randi) Dasch, and Brian (Breanna) Dasch; Great grandchildren, Kale, Rowan, Olivia, Reese, Bailey, Brody, Braelyn, Clara, Halle, Hayden, Coen, Case, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Havard Dasch and sister, Doris Galloway.

    Memorials can be made to Baptist Children’s Home in Carmi, IL.

    A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with burial following at Freedom Baptist Cemetery. Full Military Rites will be performed at the graveside.
