    Notes:

    Dale Wayne Pflaum, 61, of Clay City, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at his home.

    Dale was born September 22, 1962 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Billy Gene and Doris (Wilkins) Pflaum.

    Dale enjoyed animals, he raised goats and he owned several Siberian Huskies. He took pleasure in hunting with his father and family trips to Kentucky Lake. Dale enjoyed watching sports and was a diehard Cubs Fan. He enjoyed attending hockey games with his best friend, Edward Hegedus. He also liked watching the Bears and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Dale loved his family and looked out for everyone. He had a special relationship with his niece, Alexis, who he called "Pookie". Dale was a member of the First Christian Church of Noble and was very knowledgeable about biblical scripture. Dale's smile and loving kindness will be missed by all those who knew him.

    Dale is survived by his parents, Bill and Doris Pflaum of Clay City; sister, Kim Rothrock and husband Mark of Parkersburg; niece, Alexis McFarland and husband John of Parkersburg.

    He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

    A funeral service will be held for Dale at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the funeral home.

    Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Parkersburg
