As a young man, he played fast-pitch softball in Olney and later came to love the game of girls fast-pitch when his niece played at East Richland High School and Olney Central College. He was very proud of the accomplishments of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who starred in various sports around the region. He especially was proud of his great-granddaughter who is one of America's best wake-boarders and talked about her often. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him. Harvey married Gower, JoAnn on 26 May 1951 in Richland County, Illinois. JoAnn died before 3 Sep 2012. |

He was an avid hunter and loved fishing. Jim was known for his garden that he grew every year, and he would share all of his produce with neighbors, family and friends. He also enjoyed going to local baseball and softball games. He was a member of the Olney Archers Club. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. |

She enjoyed being a greeter at church and meeting new people. She loved drinking coffee at McDonalds with her friends every morning. She loved doing puzzles and playing cards with her family and friends. She loved going shopping and traveling to different places, especially Branson with her husband. She had a knack for hummingbirds and would always have 20 or more at her house every year she would feed. When she was younger she would go square dancing and has always enjoyed socializing with people. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and she truly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved going and watching them play or coach different sports and would never miss a game. She worked as a part time Deputy Circuit Clerk at the Richland County Court House and for Kex Garment Factory for many years. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Patricia married Grove, Gerald G. 'Jerry' on 23 Aug 1953 in Olney, Richland County, Illinois. Gerald was born on 22 Mar 1934; died on 30 Mar 2018 in Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney, Richland County, Illinois; was buried in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney, Richland County, Illinois. |
