    Harrison's registration for the draft, both world wars, show is birth date as 1885. He has a twin brother, Amos Elza Bullard, also born June 29, 1885.

    Etheridge (Curly) Bullard, age 67, passed away Tuesday evening in St. John's Hospital in Springfield, where he had been a patient for the past three years.

    He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eva Hill of Wheatland, Ind. , and Mrs. Emma Houchin of Hammond,Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Tillie Nelson; two brothers, Carl Bullard of Hutchinson, Kan.; and Troy Bullard of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and six grandchildren. His wife, Lena, preceded him in death in 1920 and his twin brother Elza Bullard died in 1948.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Olney Funeral Home and burial will be in the Gardner cemetery.

    Emma B. (Bullard) Houchin Peters, of Olney, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was 90.

    Mrs. Peters was born on September 25, 1914, in Richland County, the daughter of Harrison E. and Lena (Lewis) Bullard.

    She married Leslie E. Houchin on January 20, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1974.

    She later married Felix Peters. He preceded her in death in 1983.

    She was retired and had worked at International Shoe Factory.

    Survivors include a sister, Eva Hill, Petersburg, IN.; a grandson, Leslie Padgett, Olney; three granddaughters, Debra Britton, Albion, Becky Bell, Sumner, and Penny Runyon, Oregon; eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a daughter, Billie Jean Padgett, and a grandson, Harold 'Buddy' Padgett.

    Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Chris Jennette officiating.

    Burial was in Maple Dale Cemetery in Olney.

    Billy Jean 'Houchin' Padgett, 54, 201 N. Ohio street, Olney, died at 1:pm Saturday June 18, 1988 at Richland Memorial Hospital.

    Funeral services were Monday in the Chapel of Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Runyon officiating.

    Burial in Greenhill Cemetery, rural Noble.

    Full military rites will be performed by the Olney Veterans Organizations.

    Mr. Padgett was born Sept. 13, 1956 in Olney, the son of Harold "Smokey" and Billie Jean (Houchin) Padgett, Sr. He married Paula Hardin, Aug. 16, 1991

    Mr. Padgett was a member of the American Legion. He was a U. S. Army veteran.

    Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife, Paula; one brother, Leslie V. Padgett and wife, Cindy of Olney; one step-brothers, Kevin Weiss of Olney: three sisters, Mrs. Michael (Rebecca) Wilson of Noble, Mrs. Don (Debra) Phillips of Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. Michael (Penny) Runyon of Cornelius, Ore.; one step-sister, Rita Weiss of Noble; father and step-mother, Harold "Smokey" and Janet Padgett, Sr. of Noble; grandmothers, Beatrice Padgett and Emma Houchin Peters, and several nieces and nephews.

    Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his mother and two grandfathers.

    Leslie Padgett, 60 of Albion passed away at 2:15 AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

    There are no services being planned at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded.

    He was born on July 16, 1961 in Hammond, Indiana the son of Harold and Billie Jean (Houchin) Padgett.

    Leslie worked in the oil fields for many years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and going fishing.

    He is survived by his 3 sisters Debbie Hoffner (John) of Albion, Penny Runyon (Mike) of Florida, and Becky Bell (Jim) of Sumner; and several nieces and nephews.

    Leslie is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Billie Jean Padgett, brother Buddy Padgett, and grandparents Victor and Beatrice Padgett and Leslie and Emma Houchin.
