    Notes:

    Opal Padgett Livingston, 84, of Clay City, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, May 15, 1998, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro Larry Schnautz officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

    Memorials can be made to Clay City Christian Church Building Fund.

    Livingston was born May 20, 1918, in Ingraham, the daughter of Lafe and Sarah (Sparling) Fulk. She married Kenneth E. Padgett April 23, 1930. He preceded her in death May 18, 1962. She then married Sam Livingston, Oct. 27, 1990. He preceded her in death in 1996.

    She was a member of Clay City Christian Church.

    She is survived by three daughters, Retha Murbarger, of Clay City, Wanda Anderson, of Petersburg, and Deloris Tibbs of Petersburg; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, a son, three brothers and two sisters.

    Notes:

    Retha enjoyed bowling, camping, horseback riding, and square dancing. She cherished time spent vacationing across the U.S. with Eath and enjoyed taking their grandkids on vacations and camping trips. She was baptized at the Clay City Christian Church where she had been a lifelong member. Retha will be remembered as a caring mother who cooked many wonderful meals for her family and friends.

    Retha Murbarger, age 88, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Thursday evening, December 20, 2018, at her home.

    Retha married Murbarger, Eath on 30 Aug 1949 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.     Dustin was a 1998 graduate of North Clay High School where he avidly played baseball and basketball. Pursuing his dream, Dustin joined the U.S. Army immediately after high school and was selected for membership in the highly-trained Night Stalkers Special Operations Command from 2003-2007.

    An outdoorsman since a young age, his interests throughout life included 4-wheeling, horseback riding, boating and scuba diving. Dustin was once the recipient of Clay City Bass Club’s Rookie Award. Some of his favorite times were spent taking Mariah hunting and fishing. Dustin had a passion for life and seeking opportunities for adventure, but his family held the most special place in his heart.
