    Kathryn Jean Wyatt, 83, of Clay City, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

    Kathryn was born April 24, 1932 in Sailor Springs, Illinois, the daughter of Leo Archibald and Clarabelle (Rinnert) Herdes. She married Noel E. Wyatt on August 18, 1949 in Morganfield, Kentucky.

    Kathryn was an avid housewife. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and traveling with the love of her life. She also enjoyed sewing and beating her family at cards, but most of all, Kathryn loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Kathryn was a member of Sailor Springs Christian Church.

    She is survived by her husband, Noel E. Wyatt; Children, Kenneth Wyatt and wife Dorothy, Wayne Dean Wyatt, and Mona Kay Lewis and husband Steve; Five Grandchildren, Shawn (Kevin) Williams, Charity (Derek) Mitchell, Chad (Penny) Wyatt, Jeremy Fitch, and Cody (Jennifer) Lewis; Eight Great Grandchildren, Kenna, Sabryna, and Josie Williams, Tryston and Bella Wyatt, and Isabella, Lennox, and Pyper Kay Lewis.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jackie and Benny Herdes, and sister, Patsy Moseley.

    Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 230, Sailor Springs, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Shriners Childrens Hospital, American Cancer Society, or Donors Choice.

    Kathryn married Wyatt, Noel Eugene on 18 Aug 1949 in Morganfield, Union County, Kentucky.     Kenneth "Kenny" Gene Wyatt, 66, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, at his home in Clay City, surrounded by his family.

    Kenny was born December 28, 1949 in Pixley Township, Clay County, Illinois, the son of Noel Eugene and Kathryn Jean (Herdes) Wyatt. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Conner on January 25, 1973, in Roscommon, Michigan.

    Kenny worked in the oil field for many years. He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1969-72 during Vietnam and later in the reserves. Kenny very much loved being around family, especially his grandkids, and is remembered for his great sense of humor, often keeping those around him laughing. He enjoyed U-CONN Girls Basketball and enjoyed watching his grandkids play in their ballgames. Kenny’s other interests included fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, horseback trail riding, and skeet shooting. He was a member of Clay City Christian Church and Sailor Springs American Legion Post #230.

    Kenny is survived by his wife: Dorothy Wyatt; children: Shawn Erin Williams (Kevin), Charity Dawn Mitchell (Derek), and Chad Leo Wyatt (Penny); father: Noel Wyatt; brother: Wayne Wyatt; sister: Mona Lewis (Steve); five grandchildren: Kenna, Sabryna and Josie Williams, and Tryston and Bella Wyatt.

    He was preceded in death by his mother.

    A funeral service for Kenny Wyatt will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with military honors presented at the conclusion of the service.

    Memorial donations in Kenny’s name may be given to Sailor Springs American Legion Post or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.

    Wayne Dean Wyatt, age 69, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Wednesday evening, October 19, 2022, at Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

    He was born November 5, 1952, in Flora, the son of Noel E. and Kathryn Jean (Herdes) Wyatt.

    Wayne was a 1970 graduate of Clay City High School and was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian Church. He had worked at various factories over the years including the International Shoe Factory, AMF Bicycle Factory, Florsheim Shoe Factory, and North American Lighting, retiring after 47 years. Wayne enjoyed tending to his goats, cows, chickens, and horses on the farm and was especially fond of his Belgian horses. He enjoyed cooking and loved eating sweets. He will be remembered for his kind, giving spirit, his sense of humor, and his loyalty to his friends and family.

    He is survived by his father: Noel Wyatt of Clay City; sister: Mona (Steve) Lewis of Clay City; nieces and nephews: Shawn (Kevin) Williams of Flora, Charity (Derek) Mitchell of Clay City, Chad (Penny) Wyatt of Vergennes, Jeremy (Katie) Fitch of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Cody (Jennifer) Lewis of Clay City; great-nieces and nephews: Kenna Williams, Sabryna (Brandon) Hand, Josie Williams (Austin Davis), Tryston and Bella Wyatt, Jackson Morris, and Isabella, Lennox, Pyper Kay, and Remi Lewis; great-great-nephew: Christopher Davis; and special friend: Lily Stutzman.

    He was preceded in death by his mother: Kathryn Jean Wyatt; grandparents; a brother: Kenneth Wyatt; and sister-in-law: Dorothy Wyatt.

    A graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Clay City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to Clay City Cemetery and will be accepted through the funeral home.
