    Linnie BAYLER, 92, of Flora, died at 7:04 p.m., on Friday, March 22, 1996, at the Flora Care Center, Flora.

    Funeral services were Monday, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Flora. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Clay City. The Reverend Kenneth BISSEY officiated at the services.

    Mr. BAYLER was born on Oct. 23, 1903, in Clay County, the son of Isaac and Cora (HOUGH) BAYLER. He was a retired employee of the garment factories in Flora.

    Surviving are one brother, John BAYLER at Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

    Notes:

    Theodore (Ted) Bayler, 66 of Tonica, a native of near Clay City, died Saturday in the People’s Hospital at Peru, Illinois

    Funeral services were held at Tonica with burial there.

    He was born in Clay County on March 7, 1905, the son of Isaac and Cora Bayler, who preceded him in death. He was a resident of LaSalle County for 49 years, and was a member of the Tonica United Methodist Church.

    He is survived by his wife, Florence; one son, Ted Jr., a coach at Tonica High School; three daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Edna) Baker, Tonica, Mrs. Max (Dorothy) Halberg, Princeton, and Mrs. Thomas (Lucille) Moore, Streator; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

    Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Robert Stanford, Clay City, and Miss Linnie Bayler, Flora; two brothers, Leo, McLeansboro, and John D., Fairfield; and an aunt, Miss Dora Hough, Flora.

    Cathryn Marie Corry, 73, of Flora, IL passed away at 11:10 AM Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her home in Flora.

    She was born January 31, 1936 in Clay City, IL, the daughter of Robert H. & Edna O. (Bayler) Stanford. She married Charles L. "Skip" Corry on June 22, 1957 in Flora. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1989.

    Cathryn was devoted to her family throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, her Miniature Schnauzer "Katie", traveling, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

    She is survived by her daughters: Donna & Pat Corry of Flora; brother-in-law: Dean Corry of Flora; brother & sister-in-law: Gene & Thelma Corry of Flora; uncle & aunt: John D. & Dorothy Bayler of Fairfield; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers (Curt & Willis Stanford), and a sister-in-law (Kay Corry).

    Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday (November 30, 2009) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Bruce Horsley officiating.

    Burial will follow in Foster Hill (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, Clay City, IL. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.

    Memorials may be given to Flora Public Library Endowment Fund, Fur A Good Paws, or Clay County Hospice.

    Cathryn married Corry, Charles L. 'Skip' on 12 Aug 1961 in Clay City, Clay County, Illinois. Charles (son of Corry, John Roy and MANN, Erma Maude) was born on 11 Oct 1931; died on 19 Mar 1989; was buried in Foster Hill Cemetery, Clay City, Clay County, Illinois. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
